Meet John
John Tavares is a Canadian hockey player who was drafted first overall by the New York Islanders in 2009 where he played for nine seasons, five as captain. In 2018, John returned home to play for the Toronto Maple Leafs and was named as their captain in his second season with them. In early days, John learned a lot of the skills that he transitioned to hockey through his experience playing lacrosse. Off the ice, John is known to be generous and kind despite his fast and competitive spirit on ice.
